MoMA’s Coursera courses
From 2017–21, I co-led MoMA’s innovative, award-winning Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) program on Coursera. During my tenure, we grew the portfolio from 5 to 9 courses and doubled enrollment to 1 million+ global adult learners. We collaborated with teams of curators, educators, conservators, artists, and film and audio producers to develop the courses, building on the Museum’s collection and exhibitions for lesson themes and content. Following course launches, we supported the community of learners through in-person and online meet-ups, creative challenges and prompts, exclusive content, and even an exhibition of learner artworks at MoMA.
